SACO - Against all odds.
20 / 07 / 2007 - wonderful date. memorable day. SACO farewell party.
The day that J2s step down officially. The day that J1s displayed unity. The day of nice food and games. The day with mixed feelings of emo and high. The day I was officially the "Quarter Mistress". The day I discovered that I actually liked CO a lot. Warning (!): This is going to be a slightly long and emo entry. Prepare your tissues and pillow! :D For all words spoken and unspoken, all words were understood, felt and touched many hearts. All the images of days of bitter sweetness, hard work and being sleep deprived suddenly replayed in my head. Those were the days. Of joy, of disappointment, of whines and groans, of cheering and encouragement; I'll definitely remember them. Especially right at the moment when the announcement was made "No. 13 - Saint Andrews Junior College: SILVER." I have to admit. I didn't want to help CO initially, but the constant irritating and harassment from Mdm Hue made me gave in. It wasn't my intended CCA; and I still honestly tell you that I prefer BAND, and CO was exactly the culprit that hindered my dream. Still, I admired the bonding here, and Huiqi and the TANBO's persuasion did made me consider CO, but Mr Low's words caused me to make this decision which will make my friends say "are you crazy?". He merely said : "Seek passion in music, and music bonds people. Since you were a CO person, we should all cooperate and defend this culture; and let the music shine." And I was inspired. Right here, I have many words to tell all of you lovely seniors (though I know you will not see this): Thank you for creating many beautiful memories of SYF and concert for me. I will miss you all and of course, love you guys! :D Remember to study hard for A's and DO WELL FOR IT okay? May God bless. (: To Huimin: Thank you for bringing me into SACO and guiding me along during the first few practices. I'm amazed by the MO QI we have in terms of music and views; of course, you have been my senior for 5 years since NHGZ! Hope you take care of your body and get well soon! To Pinhua: The 2nd senior I talked to when I stepped into CO. Thanks for being my SHIFU by teaching me how to use the bow on gz. Thanks again for lending me your nails throughout the 3+ months. I'm really sorry for misplacing the 4th nail which dropped somewhere I couldn't find; and thank you for your forgiveness. Thanks for taking care of me and sharing your dinners on those late days. YOU'RE A FABULOUS SENIOR! :D To Chintow (angela): You're one funny girl who's capable of getting random and high almost as fast as me. (: I will definitely miss your famous PREACHINGS and your cold jokes xD Thanks for your guidance and care; and thanks for jamming with me using gz to play all sorts of weird sounds. Your humour will be missed greatly; while your EMCEE role with be treated to the highest respect! ROCK ON GIRL! To Vincent: You're one of the seniors which I could talk to like a long-known friend even when I haven't seen you before. Haha and your lame-ness amuses me. Thanks for guiding me along where the tempo is concerned, and highlighting the dangerous parts I should be careful of. You're a wonderful percussionist and we're proud to have you as our President. You're are definitely one who deserves my utmost respect and brought SACO to greater heights. Btw, don't tease about me and DA JI cos we are BROTHERS. yeah and _________ will get jealous! To David: YOU STONNER. I thought I was stone enough but you're worse. wahahaha. My NHGZ senior with 10 years of gz experience; yet couldn't even memorise half a page of gz score! HAHA anyways, thanks for your witty humour and random jokes that lift my spirits on the days where I'm worn out or upset. I'm proud to be your junior :D. and by the way, I was happy for you when you made the right hit during SYF. Rock on! To Alvin: I need to remind you to be more matured and don't play too much irritating pranks on Chintow anymore. And I need to emphasise this again and again that you've been mistaken. A***** is NOT my bf, he's my HAO XIONG DI, yeah so STOP TEASING ME. To Liting and Belinda: Thanks for your guidance in my days of struggling with Da ruan. Practicing with you all and other ruan-ners were fun and exciting (: Thanks for playing make-up with me in the toilet and helping me with the make-up. Of course, I can feel your love towards RUAN. ROCK ON AND KEEP SMILING! To Caiying: Thanks for guiding me and helping me with the music scores. You're the best Sectional Leader ever! Responsible, helpful and caring. I'm glad to see that you persevered through the difficulties of Liuqin and even overcome the stage fright. Fellow NanHuarian (: WE LOVE YOU! To Jordan: Thanks for advising me on gz and da-ruan; thanks for the wonderful scores you've arranged. Thanks for showing me that a Ruan can be played in more than 2 ways and impressing me with your hard rock, acoustic and jazz on a RUAN. And I totally agree with you that we should have this East-meets-West concert of music infusion. ROCK ON! TO THE OTHER SENIORS: though I didn't really spoke much to you guys, thank you for easing me into CO with your warm hospitality. Whatever things that you've done for me; THANK YOU. NOT TO FORGET - thank you MDM HUE for your belief in us though many times we blame you for being annoying. Thank you for all the food you've cooked for us (they are ZOMG nice!) And to ALL TEACHERS IN CHARGE : thank you for staying late with us during days of practice and make a contribution even though you are all tired. Mr Yeo (late conductor): Though I've never seen you, I admire your qualities and strong optimism. Thank you for not giving up on SACO and believing in us and our music. Rest in peace. Thank you seniors for the many little notes and gifts for us. The video clips made me cried a little and the photos captured many beautiful memories, of random pranks, scandals and funny stuff. And I apologize that I haven't prepared anything and is feeling really GUILTY about it. SORRY! haha. I'll pass to you all right after my H1 okies? Meanwhile, we should all focus on studies and WE J1s PROMISE TO LET SACO SHINE! ♥ SACO - ♥ you're a gem; and i think i'm falling again. |
