Flavor of Life
ytd morning, i woke up with a piece of shocking news.
there's a snake that came into my house garden. what's worse, it shed its disgustingly slimy skin on the drain covers, which just gives me the shivers even i don't see the snake itself. urgh. I HATE REPTILES. ESP SNAKES, AND FROGS TOO. yucks. the recent China milk powder hoohaa is really ruining my life. those despicable businessmen who disregard other's health, just for their own wealth; they ought to be shot, more than once, and even so, the harm is done and cannot be salvaged. the world's food shortage is already bad enough, and here they are, aggravating the situation. now everywhere you go, whatever junk food you buy, people will ask: 1. Is this MADE IN CHINA? 2. Does it contain milk powder? and of course, the implications of the case, as well as the most direct impact on me: I LOST SO MANY OF MY FAVOURITE FOOD. (out of my already-so-limited choices) Comfort me,as i bid these stuff goodbye: Meiji Ujikintoki (red bean and green tea frozen confection) Meiji Hokkaido Azuki (red bean ice cream) M&M's dove chocolate oreo wafer sticks mini poppers ice cream moo sandwich ice cream mini cornetto at least i'm still glad that my no. 2 study companion isn't in the list- DARS Bitter Chocolate!
it's a de-stress food that keeps me happy during mugging (: my no. 1 is of course, ECLIPSE! everyone tells me that i'm hopeless person and a diehard, cos if I say I like something, I'll like it forever; and if I say I do not like something, I will still not like it for a long long time till eternity, unless something major happens and I change my mind. it's the same for everything in my life. today is quite a happy day. i woke up smiling for no reason, and i'm amused by myself, feeling quite retarded. oh yes, forgive my randomness, i would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the person / people who invented the thermoflask, which kept me (and my tea) hot in the cold room. the flask of tea i brewed at 10am in the morning was still hot when i poured out to drink at 7.30pm. it's such an amazing invention, isn't it? Kudos to the inventor! HAHAHA. on an even happier note: I finished Hana Yori Dango ytd finally, both seasons 1 and 2, all I need is to watch the MOVIE to complete the series. Too bad, cos my mom has officially ground me, and only allows me to leave house for sch, tuition and for CC, which makes my life very sad for the time being. but i think it's still worthwhile since i had fun at the outing last friday, and A's is near so i can't be going anywhere at this juncture too. speaking of HYD, i found a nice picture of Hanazawa Rui with his violin! ![]() i still can't believe my perfect bf characteristics is embodied in a fictitious character! HYD is quite a nice show, and i think the cast is good, esp Matsushima Nanako (as Domyouji Tsubaki), she's still so gorgeous after so many years in the entertainment biz. No wonder my mom and my aunt like her so much. my aunt used to have quite a number of her posters, you know! hahahaha LOL. despite the same storyline, the taiwanese version M_____ G______ sucks, big time. i've watched it before many many years ago. the cast are the look-cool, can't-act ones, though i do not really dislike them this much. and it's way too naggy. one event in the jap version took up around 18 minutes, while the same event can continue for around 3 episodes in the TW version! hahaha i think i'm really in a good mood today. i didn't realise this post is ultra long. hahaha and mostly about food! * dango is a type of jap tang yuan, fyi! okie okie, i shall go practice piano and watch my cute baby show on teevee later! one last thing to share: a song featured in HYD II. "Flavour of life" - Utada Hikaru the lyrics are quite meaningful, and somehow i can identify with it. you can read the eng translation below. and her voice is nice too! it's probably the next representative song after "First Love". p.s. i'd just realise this has something to do with food again. FLAVOUR! LOL :D Flavor of Life - Utada Hikaru ENGLISH TRANSLATION: When you say thank you to me, for some reason it hurts, Like a magic spell that doesn’t get undone even after the good bye. A hint of bitterness, the flavor of life. Stuck midpoint between friends and lovers, like an unriped fruit dreaming about the day of harvest because of being unable to just move one more step forward what’s causing this frustration, baby Sweet talk and tasteless conversations, it sparks no interest in me. Even when things do not go the way you want, it doesnt mean you’ve thrown your life away. When people ask ‘ whats wrong?’ I answer ‘its nothing.’ The smile that disappears after goodbye, it’s unlike me. The more i wish to believe in you, For some reason it hurts even more ‘I like you a lot’ instead of ‘I love you’ sounds more like you The flavor of life The period when you suddenly remember the scent of someone you had almost forgotten, I want to be able to openly and honestly cherish the white purity of the falling snow. A future, tender and warmer than a diamond, I want to grasp it, in this limited time we have, I want to spend it with you. |
